Financing of the Egyptian rail carriage project of Ganz-MaVag and Dunakeszi Járműjavító
The Ministry of Economy and Energy filed a criminal complaint over a loan granted to the Egyptian state railway, intended to fund the purchase of rail carriages produced in Hungarian-Russian cooperation. According to the statement, after the Russian side withdrew and the Hungarian manufacturers went bankrupt, the deal continued in a new structure in 2022, contractual delivery was not completed, while the financed company paid dividends to its owners.
